Representation - The Man

In class Mr Ford shown us this image of Doug Bihlmaier

After looking at this image and not knowing who he was I was unsure what to think. His clothes seemed very neat and tidy therefore I was pretty sure he was not a homeless man and his clothes also seem very well fitted. The plaster on his trousers does not seem real, especially as no ordinary person would apply a plaster to trousers, they would apply it to their wound. I thought one of 2 things, he could be a business man studying what people were wearing or he could be someone doing an experiment to see if people would help out a person deemed to be homeless.
After finding out he was a vintage buyer for Ralph Lauren I was not too surprised. Here is another photo of him in a different outfit. You can easily see the contrast.
